Instructions
In a bowl, combine Gochujang paste, honey, soy sauce, mirin, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well to create a flavorful marinade.
Cut the chicken breasts into burger-sized pieces.Lightly season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.Whisk one egg in a separate bowl.Dip each piece of chicken into the egg, ensuring it is well-coated.Coat each piece in the marinade, ensuring even coverage.Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or for more flavor, refrigerate for a few hours.
In a separate bowl, combine cornflour, all-purpose flour, and garlic powder.
Take each marinated chicken piece and coat it thoroughly in the flour mixture.Shake off any excess flour.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.Fry the coated chicken until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 5 minutes per side.Place the cooked chicken on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Gochujang paste to create a spicy burger sauce.Spread the Gochujang-mayo sauce on both sides of the buns.
Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun.Add a piece of fried chicken on top of the lettuce.Lay two slices of cheddar on each chicken piece.Top with the other half of the bun.
